Submission #454

My design for the storm sewer manhole covers is a manifestation of my childhood imagination. When I was in elementary school, the issue of overfishing wes brought to my attention. The teacher told us if we don't stop our actions, there will be no more salmon in Vancouver. So I thought if the salmon can swim through the skies of Vancouver, then no one can catch them anymore and they will be saved. I drew down the five main species of salmon that comes to spawn in Vancouver; the sockeye salmon, the pink salmon, the coho salmon, the chinook salmon and the chum salmon wishing they would remain and prosper in Vancouver for centuries after.
